GFR Calculator
Your estimated GFR is a window into how well your kidneys are filtering. It is one of the most important numbers in a routine blood panel, and easy to misread alone.
How it's calculated
We use the 2021 CKD-EPI equation, the current standard, which estimates filtration from your serum creatinine, age and sex. This version removed the old race coefficient.
How to read your result
A single value is a snapshot, not a diagnosis. eGFR moves with hydration, muscle mass and the lab's method, and kidney disease is staged on results repeated over time alongside other tests. Always review yours with a doctor.
Common questions
Above 90 is generally normal, and a mild dip with age is expected. What matters is the trend and whether other signs of kidney stress are present.
