Questions people ask
Is this for an emergency?
No. If someone has chest pain, breathlessness or is fainting right now, call 108 or go to the nearest hospital. A home ECG is for planned checks and follow-ups.
How should the patient prepare?
Wear a loose top that opens easily. Avoid body lotion on the chest that day. Keep any earlier ECGs handy so the doctor can compare.
Can you do an ECG for an elderly parent at home?
Yes, and it's one of the most common reasons people book one. The patient lies on their own bed and doesn't need to go anywhere. If you live abroad, we can send the tracing to you on WhatsApp too.
Is a home ECG the same as one at a hospital?
Yes. It's the same 12-lead test, recorded with the same ten electrodes. A smartwatch ECG is different: it records a single lead and can't replace a 12-lead ECG your doctor has asked for.
Does it hurt?
No. The stickers are painless and nothing goes into the body. The machine only records the heart's electrical signal.
When do I pay?
After the visit. Nothing is charged when you book.
