How it's calculated
We take your distance and your time and work out your average pace per kilometre or mile, plus your speed. Switch units to match how you train or race.
How to read your result
This is your average across the whole effort. Real runs swing with hills, heat and how you feel. To get faster, most of your running should feel easy, with a smaller dose of harder work.
Common questions
Build a base of easy running, add one or two harder sessions a week, and stay consistent. Most improvement comes from volume at an easy effort, not from running hard every day.
Method: Distance and time to average pace and speed.
